A lot of confusion also arises due to these terms “Single Drawn Hair” and “Double Drawn Hair” when it comes to hair extensions. So, what exactly are they?
Single Drawn Hair –This implies that the hair strands for the extension are acquired from a single donor. This type of hair also varies in individual strand length because a person’s hair is usually not the same length throughout; it could shorter in the front or side as compared to the hair length at the back. Sometimes to keep the length uniform in single drawn hair, the shortest hairs are removed by using an equipment called the hackle.
Double Drawn Hair – As the name suggests, the hair strands for the extension are collected from multiple donors. Also, more time is invested in ensuring that only same length strands make up a hair extension piece, therefore the hair is sifted minutely to keep up the standards.
