Many tend to get confused between Remy and Virgin Hair and think that both of them are the same; this is primarily because both are unidirectional in their alignment (they are both arranged from hair root to hair base) and the cuticles are kept intact, however there is a difference between both.
Remy vs. Virgin Hair
Virgin hair is chemically unprocessed and therefore is 100 percent natural, whereas Remy Hair may or may not have been treated by chemicals once it has been collected from the donor.
Also, the donor from whom virgin hair is collected has never gotten any chemical processes like color, bleach perms done while a donor from whom Remy hair is acquired may have exposed their hair to such chemical treatments and procedures.
However, it must be remembered that virgin hair can have undergone the process of steam processing, since this is not a chemical alteration therefore the hair is still considered virgin.
So basically, Remy hair can be made from virgin hair but once it is chemically processed it no longer remains virgin.
